Free Ballin'
Dad's Big Helper
Good thing he had someone supervising the repairs.
A Pooh Bear Problem
As for the bag? Well, he loves it too! Everytime I tell him we are leaving he goes, "Oh my bag!" and runs and gets it. The only problem we have is that he thinks he should walk everywhere because it has wheels. He got alone time today before I left for work because he was going to walk to mama's! Ok, I don't have time for that!
It is cute though. If you ask him who is on his shirt he can say all their names!

Even Two Year Olds Need Privacy
I say "Are you pooping?" Ok I didn't have to even ask...it was obvious. My kid likes to lay on his tummy to do his duty and usually he is hiding under the table or behind a chair. Well he looks up at me and his face is kind of surprised then he yells, "GO AWAY MOMMA!"
Ok ok I get you...you need your privacy, just come get me when you're done!
Noodles? Seriously?
The County Fair
Funny enough, he perked up dramatically after dinner. Hmm can anyone else say low bloodsugar?! After he scarfed down a $4 hotdog and chips he was all set to go. His favorite attraction this time? The obstacle course. I think I spent $18 on that one ride..."One more time Momma." It was awfully cute to see him climb the rope ladder all by himself! Ohh we also got to see cows and sheep and chickens and a bunny. He really didn't care...but I did say hello to a cow for you Denae who was busy actually working!

Just Chillin'
Hmm, should I be worried? Probably not since this only lasted for 1 episode of Pooh. He is now tearing around the house on his digger.

Three Monkeys at Kangaroo Zoo!
She and Kai Kai loved going up and down the big slide! I am so GLAD that Malakai has finally mastered climbing up to the slide...my arms used to be so dead by the end of the day because he would make me carry him all the way up!
Laira had a hard time at first. She just wasn't quite sure this was for her, but it didn't take long for her to loosen up and start having a good time too.
Sometimes though, no matter how much fun you are having you just need a rest.
After Kangaroo Zoo I had to go to staff meeting. I just love staff meetings...they always make me feel so incompetent! Then I had to go to the mall and look for some new crocs for Kai. Dad left his old ones at the park on Sunday. Denae needed to find new shoes for the girls for school so they came with. Kai did pretty well in his stroller...God bless the person that thought of putting steering wheels in carts, strollers etc.

The Hair Cut!
Yep, Dad took care of it. He buzzed his whole head. In Charlie's defense though, there wasn't a whole lot he could do. Look closely. See that little white patch? That is skin. My son shaved his head right down to the skin. Charlie said he was going to shave his whole head down to the skin but didn't want Kai Kai to look like a "little skin head." I agree. Having your two year old look like a white supremacist Nazi is probably not a good idea.
So this is the conversation I had with Kai about it: (sorry it is side ways...I was taking pictures when he started telling me about it so I just switched to record. See Maureen I need the camcorder!)
Notice that in this video Malakai takes full responsibility for his actions. When asked if dad buzzed his head Kai responds "No Kai Kai did it."
Funny how quickly his story changed:
I love that in this version Dad did it! Oh well. I guess it is a good thing hair grows back. But, just for the record (Trent!), I have it on tape that Kai Kai did it! For once Mom had nothing to do with this buzz cut!!!
Swimming with Friends!
At first he was laughing, but then he looked down. They tell you never to look down! After that he started yelling, "Help me! Help me!" Oh my, if this child makes it to 3!
With Help Like This...
Oh how helpful...he was emptying my dish. Of course, the dishes were dirty and he was emptying them onto the floor. Good thing we use a lot of plastic dishes. No nice china in this house. Yep, with help like this who needs a maid?!

Malakai and the Great Spotted Beast!
Although I don't think it even lasted that long. Dexter proved to be no match for Malakai and his endless stream of soapy bubbles, and soon he retreated to the safety of the backyard. Stay tuned for next weeks conquest when Malakai battles the ferocious lioness Simone and her fat minone Titus with the fly swatter. You won't want to miss it!

Ice cream
Picnic in the Canyon
Jeremy brought squirt guns and the kids had a fabulous time getting completely soaked. The hardest part was convincing Malakai not to drink the water...I so did not need a case of giardia on my hands.
I am not sure how many times I said, "We don't shoot Mommy!" I don't think he was listening. Of course, Uncle Wyatt was not helping matters.
I think the only ones that made it out dry were the twins and Brynlee. They spent time hanging out on the blanket or in the stroller. The twins found out that daddy made one AWESOME pack mule!
The backpack also worked great to put them to sleep.
After the water fight everyone was ready for a cookie break. Amazing how cookies can bring even the most hardened squirt gun fighters together.
And then it was nap time! Blankey? Check! Binky? Check! Hammock?! Now when did that become a camping necesity? I don't know...but it is one now!!!
The only bad things that happened that day were the little red bugs that were EVERYWHERE...I even found one in my van 3 days later. And as Trevor found out, there are no bathrooms in the wilderness...well I guess trees count. How nice to be a boy!!!
The END...or should I say ends?!
